Funny Video: Colbert Mocks Bush Memoir Decision Points

Colbert enjoys the presidential memoir - a real page-turner.

From Denny: Colbert mightily mocks the new George Bush presidential memoir, "Decision Points" - and that's just launching off his opinion on the first page. It's all downhill from there with Bush - a lot like his presidency.

Bush is on his book tour all over the country and the airwaves celebrating the use of torture when he was president. Or should I say, "pWesident." Elmer Fudd - or is it Bush? - never could get their words straight. The Bush Spin Machine came up with so-called conditions from which he was supposed to be suffering when the reality was he was drunk in the White House. Bush used to get high on cocaine when his father was president - yes, in the White House. It's familiar stomping grounds for him.

In this presidential memoir he did not write - some poor hapless ghost writer got stuck with that dubious "honor" - Bush attempts to rewrite history, something for which the Republicans are notorious. The Republicans have been revamping public school textbooks to lie about history. Why should a presidential memoir be any different?

Viewing Bush on his book tour and nauseating network interviews just reminds America and the world why we were all so glad to see him leave the White House. Now if he would just leave planet Earth and go off with some aliens where they can experiment on him using waterboarding to get him to develop a real heart - and a brain.

Decision Points
George W. Bush's writing is so evocative, Stephen feels like he's right there holding that steaming pile of dog crap in his hand. (04:05)
