From Denny: The cartoonist that populates "Ballard Street" must hang out at his local old folks home community. Where does he get these crazy ideas? Is he the youngest child of 13 whose parents are 90 years old? It does make you wonder. Well, while you are wondering about the sanity of the cartoonist, enjoy his funny mind. He sure invents some outlandish situations. I suppose the scary part is that many of us have known people like this - or have them in our families. :)

Stop and think about it. What happens to a megalomaniac when he grows old and suffers from dementia? What happens to a diva who needs to be the center of attention? Yes, it could be you one day that cartoonists are depicting for national embarrassment to your children - and anyone who ever met you. Call Obama. He needs to revamp health care.

Funny Lemurs: No Table Manners, How Not to Chew Your Food

From Denny: Which is funnier? The lemur chewing too big a portion in their mouth or the skittish talk show host who wants hazard pay for a chummy lemur trying to leap up onto her shoulder? Of course, the camera just zooms in on the wad-chewing lemur who acts like it's no big deal. Then the camera warps out to zoom in on the jittery host after she dumps the offending lemur onto the show crew as their problem. Read that as, "Get this creepy animal thing off my set!"

Next up on this segment is the hornbill, a strange looking bird that appears to be wearing a kind of futuristic helmet - or a calcified banana. He then decides to start with the pooping and the peeing as soon as the hosts begin to talk but the handler takes it in stride. You would think the bird had let out a huge smelly fart by the way the hosts ran in the other direction. The hosts get really creeped out when the sweet bird decides to feed his handler some food. The hornbill must know its almost Valentine's Day.

They bring out a very alert exotic looking African cat with some wild looking ears and then some baby Golfer tortoises. These animals are all suffering from vanishing habitats.

Which is funnier, the animals or the people zoo?

Dennys Funny Quotes: Funny Mardi Gras Quotes, Who Dat Rocking Saints Songs - Congrats go to the Packers who won this year's Super Bowl! Let the partying begin!

Here is last year's winner, the New Orleans Saints. What a huge surprise it was to win the Super Bowl, the first for this beaten down team. Get a grin at the partying in the French Quarter and the different rock songs for the team.

The Packers have their Cheesehead song and the Saints have their Who Dat?! song. For my second language friends: Who Dat = Who is that?

Right after Hurricane Katrina, all in a half a million strong flurry, half of New Orleans moved to my town of Baton Rouge, the state's capital, overwhelming us and our resources. We soon adjusted after a few months and assimilated everyone. They still can't drive. :)

All we heard in the grocery stores and the shopping malls was the "Who dat?" phrase. We soon started calling New Orleans people The Who Dats and the name stuck with New Orleans wearing it like a badge of pride. :) Winning the Super Bowl was just what New Orleans needed to make them feel really good. There is still a lot of celebrating going on - but then that's the New Orleans Who Dat Nation!

I did a double take when I saw the Mardi Gras beads in the video. Thought I was back in my Louisiana French Quarter but Mardi Gras is not until March 8th this year. :)

I fell over laughing when I landed on the music site that had this video. I was looking for music blogs to add to the blog list over at Dennys Art Sanctuary that I'm working on getting geared up.
